Freshman Applicants
The following must be submitted:
- Signed application for admission.
- $40 non-refundable application fee (check or money order only,
made payable to The Ohio State University).
- College Prep Curriculum Form, which must be completed and signed
by your high school guidance counselor and include Ohio Ninth Grade
Proficiency Test results for non-exempted Ohio residents.
- Official high school transcript and College Prep Curriculum Form.
Note: If you have enrolled in college courses while in high
school, you must request that official transcripts be sent from that
institution to the Admissions Office. You will still be considered
for admission according to freshman guidelines.
Transfer Applicants
The following must be submitted:
- Signed application for admission.
- $40 non-refundable application fee (check or money order only,
made payable to The Ohio State University).
- Official transcript from each institution attended after high
school. (To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly
from
the institution to the Admissions Office, AND bear an embossed seal
or original ink stamp from the institution or the signature of
a certifying
official at that institution.)
- Transfer applicants with below a
2.0 cumulative GPA must complete the Supplement
for Admission by Special Action. The Supplement for Admission
by Special Action should be submitted with your application for
admission and official
transcripts.
- Completed Transfer Student Course Listing of all courses in which
you are presently enrolled or will be enrolled before entering Ohio
State.
- Official high school transcript. To be considered official, transcripts
must be sent directly from the high school to the Admissions Office,
AND bear an embossed seal or original ink stamp from the high school
or the signature of a certifying official at that institution.
(You may be exempt from this requirement if you have successfully
completed at least a year of full-time, college-level coursework,
or if you graduated from high school before 1984.)
- Financial Aid Transcript from each institution attended indicating
previous financial aid awarded. If no aid was received, the transcript
will reflect this and is still required for students who plan to seek
financial aid or scholarships while attending Ohio State ATI.
Application Deadlines
Autumn Quarter (September): July 1
Winter Quarter (January): December 1
Spring Quarter (March): March 1
Summer Quarter (June): June 1
Financial Aid Deadline ( for new
students, all quarters ) March 1
- All credentials must be submitted by these deadlines.
- High school seniors should apply during the fall of their senior
year. Students may apply for admission for any quarter; however, most
students begin Autumn Quarter.
- Early application for admission is encouraged. Housing assignments
are made according to the date of your application for admission.
Earlier applicants are more likely to be assigned their first housing
preference.
- Students who complete and submit the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) and have been admitted to Ohio State ATI by
March
1 will be given first consideration for aid. After this date, university
administered financial aid will be awarded on a funds available
basis.
