Crop Management and Services

With a degree from our Crop Management and Services program, you'll reap the benefits of a rewarding career. Students take classes that teach the theory and practice of disease and pest control, soil science, equipment operation and maintenance, and crop production.Crop Management and Services photo illustration --corn

Two program options are available: Crop Management focuses on the techniques and knowledge necessary to manage farms successfully and to thrive in an increasingly competitive commodity market. Crop Services focuses on skills and information needed by those who work in the businesses and industries surrounding farming, including chemical manufacturing and sales, consulting and grain merchandising.

With either option, expect to do more than a little "field work" on your way to earning a degree. You'll learn the latest techniques through internships and practicum experiences that will also give you great firsthand opportunities to work with farmers and their crops.

Degree Options:
• Associate of Applied Science
• Associate of Science in Agronomy
• Associate of Science in Pre-Agricultural Education.
