Laboratory Science

Research the career possibilities in laboratory work, and you may find there's chemistry between you and Ohio State ATI's Laboratory Science program. Our graduates work in research and development labs across the country, helping solve technical, chemical and environmental problems.

Three program options are available:Laboratory Science photo illustration--science instruments
In Plant Research, you learn seed variety production techniques and plant disease control. In Animal Research, you learn the principals of nutrition, the influence of sound breeding and other elements of animal production. In the Environment option, you learn the fundamentals of ecology, environmental laws, and the chemical aspects of air, water and soil analysis.

Students in the Laboratory Science program take advantage of high-tech equipment to learn the latest research methods in courses such as: General Microbiology, Environmental Resources, Animal Research Practices, Soils and Soil Management.
